Willowdale Steeplechase Turns 20

The Willowdale Steeplechase celebrated its 20th birthday in style, with everything from stellar tailgates to Jack Russell races, plus, of course, the excitement of the racing itself.

In the $15,000 featured contest, the Willowdale Steeplechase, Radio Flyer, ridden by Darren Nagle, pulled away from second- and third-place finishers Brands Hatch and Battle Op after the last fence. Radio Flyer, trained by Richard Valentine, finished the three-and-half mile course in 7:28.60.
