Since it’s a time of the year when people often give wine as a gift, or bring it as a contribution to a gathering, instead of offering just one wine for December, I’m offering four suggestions, and all of them are available here in our store.
The first is A to Z Pinot Noir; the 2008 vintage is lively with a great balance of raspberry and cherry notes and a nice long finish. The second suggestion is Hall Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, a vintage that is rich, dense, and full-bodied with hints of mocha and black licorice rounding out the plum and currant flavors with a long finish.
Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay 2008 is big and complex with citrus, apple and melon flavor, then turns into a creamy rich buttery oaky middle and then moves onto a long finish. Finally, Mumm Napa Brut Prestige is a sparkling wine that is crisp and elegant with apple and spiced yeast aromas that lead to flavors of citrus and pear.
