Get your cornhole bag-throwing arm ready because the Gables in Chadds Ford is turning its outside terrace into a festive beer garden each Thursday in July. Festivities will be held rain or shine from 5-10 p.m. starting July 5.
While the restaurant may be known for its signature sangria, there will be plenty of hops to choose from this summer, as well. Find four craft beers on draft, along with four canned brews and four bottles. For those who prefer to imbibe on wine, there will be a selection of by-the-glass options. And, of course, the Summer Berry Peach Sangria will be available, too.
In addition to libations, the Gables will serve summertime fare, like smoked pork tacos, grilled romaine salad, shrimp and grits martini, and truffle fries. For dessert, grab marshmallow s’mores by the fire pit for a quintessential summer experience.
It wouldn’t be a beer garden without some lawn games. Expect life-size versions of Jenga and other crowd favorites, plus live music. Acts include West Chester-based acts Anthony Saddic and the GoAround, Delaware-based James McLaughlin and more.
The Gables will also have an old time tin photo booth on select dates this summer.
