2013 Radnor Hunt Races

The fun of the 83rd Radnor Hunt Races attract family and friends.

The races, comprised of six events, help raise money toward the land and water preservation programs of the Brandywine Conservancy in Chadds Ford, PA. The races include: The Milfern Cup (Sport of Kinds Maiden Hurdle), The Vita C. Thompson Memorial (Allowance Hurdle), The Radnor Hunt Cup (Timber Stakes), National Hunt Cup, Grade III, (Hurdle Stakes), The James M. Moran, Jr. (Sport of Kinds Unlimited Claiming Hurdle), and The Henry Collins (Maiden Claiming Hurdle). The steeplechase purses total $180,000. The races start around 1:30pm, with about a half an hour between.  The racecourse is about a mile around, and the horses run clock-wise around the circuit two or three laps depending on the race.
