Expect thundering horses and family merriment at the Polo Cup, hosted by the Brandywine Polo Club. The event, which benefits the Prenatal Clinic and The Women’s Auxiliary’s ?Great Expectations? Pledge to The Chester County Hospital, features high-energy equestrian sport and child-friendly fun.
At 1:30pm, tailgating and festivities, including an introductory demonstration of polo, begin a day filled with mallets and steeds. Spectators may engage in a slew of activities spread over the field, such as raffle drawings, a silent auction, and a Kid’s Korner. The annual Hats Off to Health contest gives attendees the opportunity to show their enthusiasm by wearing unique or fashionable hats.
General tickets, bought in advance, are $25 while children 16 and under receive free admission. Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic?and to incorporate creative decorations and themes to their field-side parties?or to purchase VIP tickets and enjoy food and beverage in the Polo Club’s VIP tent.
The match, kicking up dust at 3pm, promises displays of agility, strategy, and fast-paced action.
