The 92 nd Annual Wilmington Flower Market takes place at Rockford Park in Wilmington, with longer hours from 10am to 8pm, the three days just before Mother’s Day.
Flowers and plants of all kinds are available and, per tradition, the Flower Market is a favorite shopping stop for Mom on her special day.
Children’s rides and games, concerts, food and drink, petting zoo, merchants” stalls, crafts and artwork all make for a wonderful family outing during the prime days of spring.
The Wilmington Flower Market three-day event is held rain or shine. Admission is free. All net proceeds support the children of Delaware through the Flower Market’s more than 70 beneficiaries. More than 1,000 volunteers give generously of their time and efforts to the organization and children of the state.
The Wilmington Flower Market was founded in 1921 by Mrs. A. Felix Du Pont, and since then has become one of the longest-running service organizations in Delaware. This beloved tradition has knitted itself into the character of the city and state, and is a highly anticipated time for socializing and fun.
