Historic New Castle, Del. hosts its annual May Market.

The annual two-day fundraising sale includes plants, homemade baked goods, books, and white elephant items. All the proceeds help the Arasapha Garden Club keep the historical gardens growing.

You don?t know what plants will be best for your garden? Don?t worry because the Arasapha Garden Club is happy to help. The plant sale takes place in Market Square with an array of plants to suit any garden.

Looking for unique trinkets to put around the house? Next to the Presbyterian Church, in Christian Education Building at 25 East Second Street, there are tables filled with white elephant items plus used hardcover and paperback books.

Do you want one-of-a-kind jewelry to show off to your friends? Local vendors gather with meticulously crafted pieces. Items include fine and fashionable jewelry, note cards, and other pieces that are both decorative and functional.

Have questions on gardening? Saturday only, master gardeners answer your questions, make suggestions, and share their gardening knowledge.

Do you want your kids to join in on the gardening fun? The popular Kids Korner, open 10am to 3pm, gives children the opportunity to decorate a pot, add dirt, and then plant seeds. The activity is free and gives parents the opportunity to shop on their own.
