Anson B. Nixon Summer Concert Series

Share

Nothing quite says summer like outdoor concerts under the stars. This summer, the free concert series continues at Anson B. Nixon Park.

Each Wednesday evening until August 7, come out and enjoy a wide variety of local and regional bands on the park stage and all of the small town pleasures it has to offer. Feel free to bring a lawn chair or a blanket as you enjoy a picnic, La Michoacana Ice Cream, or a light supper catered by a different local restaurant each week.

The 2013 summer lineup includes an eclectic and diverse range of musical styles, from bluegrass and folk to indie rock, jazz and even perennial favorite, Louisiana Zydeco.

The concerts begin promptly at 7 pm and all are welcome, even pets if on leash.  Concerts are generally held rain or shine but be sure to check the Park Facebook page or call 610-444-1416 for any last minute weather cancellations. Further information is available at www.ansonbnixonpark.org.
