Welcome the month of August by attending the 10th annual New Jersey Hot Air Balloon Festival at the Warren County Farmers” Fair. An admission price of $5 for adults and $3 for children 5-12 provides visitors access to both the Warren Country Farmers” Fair and the Hot Air Balloon Festival, known to several organizations as “The Ultimate Twofer.” Enjoy the craft exhibits, food, and Elvis impersonations that the fair offers, then ooh and ahh at the cluster of majestic hot air balloons rising and dotting the sky at Balloonfest.
Add some more excitement by participating in the adventure first-hand by reserving a hot air balloon ride for $195 per person. Nervous to lift off and fly to the heavens? For $10 per person, take a tethered balloon ride; experience the thrill of hot air balloon life and view the fair from above without completely leaving the ground. To ensure the safety of participants, rides are offered in the evenings when wind permits.
Thanks to Balloonatics & Aeronuts, coordinators of the Hot Air Balloon Festival, Balloonfest features all kinds of unique balloons, including a “monster” balloon. This enormous, green inflation fascinates everyone and serves as a main component of the week’s balloon competitions.
Balloonfest accommodates visitors of all ages. Throughout the week, enjoy balloon launches at 6:30pm, tethered rides from 4pm to 8pm, and a Walk-A-Bout balloon at 4pm, in which children can walk around and play in a hot air balloon on the ground inflated by a fan. Competitions like the “Hare and Hound” race and a relay race that partners balloon pilots and cyclists add to the thrill of the week.
