Join Brandywine Ballet and Longwood Gardens in celebrating the life of composer Samuel Barber with a stunning performance, part of Chester County’s 2010 Samuel Barber Festival.

On June 4, The Brandywine Ballet will take the stage at Longwood Gardens and perform a new, original work by choreographer Nancy Page. The performance is set to several of Barber’s pieces, which include orchestral, opera, choral, and piano music.

This year marks what would have been Barber’s 100th birthday. The festival is a tribute to the life and work of the internationally celebrated composer and West Chester native. The ballet is just one of the events appearing at the festival. There are a number of area recitals, concerts, and exhibits that take place throughout the year.
