The Somerville Manning Gallery will host a Timothy Barr Recent Painting exhibit.

Timothy Barr is known for his brilliant landscape paintings of the Pennsylvania countryside, Martha’s Vineyard, the Eastern Shore of Maryland and the British Virgin Islands.

His work is best known for his use of light to create structure and composition as well as infusing natural images with a serene and meditative radiance. Barr layers a thin finish over his pieces to give the painting more light and a physical glow, a technique from the Barbizon School.
