Brandywine Ballet, the West Chester-based dance company, performs in Delaware County’s Summer Festival at Rose Tree Park’s Amphitheater.
The mixed classical and contemporary repertoire features the work of guest choreographers, as well as resident choreographer Nancy Page. The performance is admission-free and open to the public. Rose Tree Park’s performance venue is a scenic hillside amphitheater, which features four grass terraces and is conveniently located at Route 252 & Rose Tree Road, just off Route 1. Concessions are for sale at all concerts.
About Brandywine Ballet: Brandywine Ballet was founded by Artistic Director Donna Muzio, and has provided the community with excellence in ballet for more than 30 years. In recent years, the company has earned permission from the George Balanchine Trust to perform several Balanchine ballets, as well as premiered works by choreographers Nancy Page, Matthew Neenan, Ronen Koresh, Meredith Rainey, and Christopher Fleming. Brandywine Ballet has gained recognition from nationally published Dance Magazine for its thought-provoking mix of classical and contemporary ballet, and was recently featured in WHYY’s Experience “video postcard” series.
