Brandywine Battlefield Craft Day

Colonial crafts weren’t just a chance to relax and create something–they also provided necessities for everyday living, such as candles and baskets.

While such items were needed by everyone, some craftsmen and women created items that were as beautiful as they were functional.

Brandywine Battlefield hosts a Crafts Day that features demonstrations of the most intricate of crafts, created by master craftsmen, as well as the more simple ones. Fun, do-it-yourself activities are available as well, along with a puppet show.
