Nothing says spring like a bit of historical war and some fun facts about our first president.
The Brandywine Battlefield opens for 2013 with Charter Day, a fun and interesting afternoon of activates for the entire family. Brandywine Battlefield is where General George Washington fought against the British in the largest land battle of the American Revolution on September 11, 1777.
Charter Day 2013 features tours of the home which was Washington’s Headquarters during the battle, and military demonstrations, 18th century gunsmiths, blacksmiths, and carpenters, British camp and soldiers, and even a lecture by Sandy Flash.
So come out to enjoy the spring weather, and learn a little history while you?re there. It’s a perfect chance for the whole family to get together. For more information, contact the Park at 610.459.3342 or visit their website http://brandywinebattlefield.org/.
