This much-anticipated event kicks off with a preview reception on Friday, May 25, from 6pm to 9pm.
The 41st annual Antiques Show, which features 31 outstanding exhibitors, takes place from May 26 to May 28. Hosted by museum volunteers, the show includes furniture, glass, silver, rugs, prints and more.
On May 27 and 28, enjoy booth talks on topics such as Celebrating Early Folk Art in America: Fanciful Flourishes of Resplendent Beauty, Chinese Export Porcelain, and 18th-century Connecticut Furniture. The 30-minutes talks are included in admission to the show.
Admission is $15 per person. All proceeds benefit the Brandywine River Museum Volunteers’ Art Purchase Fund. Antiques are displayed in the Museum Courtyard, the second and third floor mill galleries, and the Museum Lecture Room.
To accompany the 2012 Antiques Show, the Brandywine River Museum, in conjunction with Winterthur Museum, presents a special exhibition, Pierced, Punched, Painted: Decorated Tinware from Winterthur, from May 26 through July 15.
