Let the sweet sounds of the majestic piano carry you away to another world at the Brandywine River Museum of Art, as award-winning pianist Catherine Marie Charlton performs original piano improvisations and compositions inspired by the works of the Wyeth family.
Influenced by romantic and impressionist piano stylings, Charlton received her music degree from Cornell University. Her album Red Leaf, Grey Sky: Piano Improvisations, which was inspired by her first year of motherhood, won the 2013 Independent Music Awards for Instrumental EP. Not only is she considered among the greats in impressionistic piano music, Charlton is also a Steinway Artist.
