On these two weekends, get a warm greeting from nearly 50 professional painters, sculptors, jewelers, metal and wood workers, photographers, potters, and more, when you visit their studios, and enjoy the luxury of purchasing magnificent pieces for studio prices.

The event is free and open to the public, and takes place from 10am to 5 pm each day. The tour will proceed rain or shine.

This diverse journey will lead you to make a plethora of amazing discoveries as you traverse the works of traditional to the avant-garde. One of the greatest parts about this experience is not just seeing the art, but meeting the artists and learning about their inspirational voyages.

The opportunities for visitors are numerous. You have the options of walking through the 18th-century village of Chestertown and visiting the studios “downtown.” Or tour the countryside around Chestertown and Rock Hall and visit the studios in the outlying areas of Kent and Queen Anne’s Counties. Studios of all media, including metal working, fine woodcraft, and weaving, as well as painting, overlook the Chester River or the Chesapeake Bay. It is suggested, though, that you start your mission at Artworks studio at 306 Park Roe in historic downtown Chestertown.
