From shadowy seascapes to pastel flowers softly infused with vibrant colors, the oil paintings of celebrated artist Christine Lafuente are sure to inspire in this exhibit.
As one of the East Coast’s leading artists of “painterly” realism, Lafuente uses color, tone, and texture to develop her landscapes and still life portraits, which have won numerous awards. She was featured in American Artists magazine, which stated, “Christine Lafuente’s still lifes and plein air landscapes are oriented toward achieving a color harmony that captures the play of light across the forms.”
Lafuente’s recent paintings are on display at the Somerville Manning Gallery in Greenville from March 11 to April 9. The opening reception takes place on Friday, March 11 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
