Welcome the start of spring at the Delaware Foundation for the Visual Arts? 15th Annual Spring Art Show. More than 70 artists are on display at the Hagley Museum for exhibit and sale.
The show features local artists? paintings and sculptures along with porcelain pieces, ceramics, fused glass, jewelry, and limited edition reproductions. Visitors can enter to win original miniature paintings, 3D creations, or jewelry created by participating artists. Also on display is the winning artwork from the DFVA’s ?Excellence in Drawing Competition? held for Delaware High School students.
The year’s ?Honored Artist? is local painter Neilson Carlin. His classical realist style of portraits, figurative pieces, and still life paintings in oils are on display and available for purchase. A special reception for him is on Saturday from 12-2pm.
A portion of the proceeds from this event benefit DFVA’s scholarship awards for Delaware High School students.
