Festival in the Country, presented by Fair Hill International and benefitting Union Hospital of Cecil County, Md., is a four-day affair for the entire family to enjoy.
The heart of the festival is the three-star international eventing competition that regularly attracts the world’s best riders. Observe Olympic-caliber athletes take on daunting drops and colossal fences, and carriage teams of one, two and four horses navigate complex hazards with accuracy during the “Bit of Britain challenge.”
Enjoy Chesapeake food and drinks, President’s Cup Pony Club games, canine demonstrations, horseplay pageant, Kids” Corner and Puppet Show, classic cars, a trade fair with various shopping opportunities, and loads more. Tickets, which can be purchases at the gate, are $10 for adults for Thursday and Friday and $15 for Saturday and Sunday. Seniors and juniors (12 to 18) are $5 Thursday and Friday and $10 on Saturday and Sunday. Children under 12 are free.
