For one night only, the Delaware Children’s Museum is telling parents to leave their kids with the babysitter and head down to the museum for a Grand Opening Gala. The gala takes place Friday, April 9, from 7pm to midnight. Guests can dance to the Big Band-to-Motown sounds of the Soulsystem Orchestra, enjoy cocktails and hors d”oeuvres by Sugarfoot and take part in a silent auction and treasure chest key raffle. This all takes place at 550 Justison St., Riverfront Wilmington.
The Grand Opening Gala is the first chance to see the interior of the greatly anticipated museum, which is set to open to the public Saturday, April 24.
Cocktail attire is the dress of the evening. Tickets are $125 and may be purchased online at www.delawarechildrensmuseum.org/gala.
