Kennett Square welcomes the return of ART ON THE SQUARE. This juried outdoor art festival brings art, vintage pieces, and fine crafts to downtown Kennett Square.
Artists line the street with pop-up tents and tables for an eclectic outdoor gallery. Live music by Dain Carlton will enhance your stroll among these creative vendors.
Also on April 27th is the 48th Annual Plant Sale hosted by the Kennett Beautification Committee. This is the perfect opportunity to shop an assortment of hanging baskets, herbs, annuals, perennials, grasses, native plants and vegetable starters. The Plant Sale features a special collection of plants dug from the gardens of area garden club members. The proceeds from the sale support the colorful sidewalk planters and hanging plants throughout downtown Kennett Square, as well as other beautification projects throughout the area. The Kennett Beautification Committee was recognized by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society with its 2012 Community Greening Awards.
The third feature of the weekend festival is an exhibit of student artwork from the Kennett Consolidated Area Schools, which will be on display in the new Market at Liberty Place, 148 West State Street. The exhibit opens on April 26 and will continue through May 5. Make the time to see the creativity of these talented young people.
