Satisfy your ears with the sounds of the Kennett Symphony and its two-day summer concert series Boléro and Celebrate FREEDOM, which takes place in June and August.
Pieces performed at Boléro, which takes place at 7:30pm on June 25, include Chabrier’s España, Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole, and Ravel’s Boléro, adding enchanting Latin flair courtesy of the Kennett Symphony.
On August 20, the symphony presents Celerate FREEDOM!, a program that brings in the pride of America with selections from American composers such as Samuel and John Phillips Sousa. Performances include The Chester County Choral Society and The Mary Green Singers. Special guest Pat Ciarrocchi from CBS will narrate Copeland’s A Lincoln Portrait.
A ticket good for both concerts is $60 and includes admission to Longwood Gardens and free parking.
