Visitors to the Zwaanendael Museum in Lewes will learn about the women in President Abraham Lincoln’s life during the program “The Ladies Lincoln Loved.”
Presented by members of the museum’s staff, the program explores the lives of Lincoln’s wife, Mary Todd Lincoln; Ann Rutledge, the legendary first love of his life; his mother Nancy Hanks Lincoln; his stepmother, Sarah Bush Johnston Lincoln; and his sister, Sarah Lincoln Grigsby.
The program will also feature a craft activity in which children can create a stove top hat or silhouettes of President Lincoln, Mary Todd Lincoln or Ann Rutledge. Admission to the event is free and open to the public. For additional information, call 302.645.1148.
