Hagley Museum and Library presents an afternoon film showcase of a new documentary about the life of Bill McGowan, Long Distance Warrior.

A presentation of WTTW Chicago, American public television and the Hagley Museum and Library, the documentary chronicles McGowan’s triumphant transformation of long-distance telecommunication by conquering the greatest monopoly of his time — AT&T. The story of his influence on the Information Age, is sure to enlighten many about how competition and change empowered those who followed him.
