If visiting arboretums is a favorite pastime of yours, check out the Newark Arts Alliance’s Annual Garden Tour! Not only will you have the opportunity to purchase flowers, but you will also learn how to create your very own garden!
The day begins with a self-guided tour of 14 gardens in the Newark area. During this tour, helpful tips and hints will be revealed about how to create your own garden … or make your existing one even more fantastic, no matter how large or small of a budget you have.
Other features of this tour include garden art, live music, and gardening demonstrations. In addition to the tour, the Newark Art Alliance is presenting several other events (details can be found on their website: newarkartsalliance.org).
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased prior or at the event, in person or by calling 302.266.7266. Alexander’s Lawn & Garden also has tickets available for purchase. All tickets must be presented for entry in order to receive a Garden Tour map.
Be sure to hang on to your map! If you present your map at the Home Grown Cafe, you will receive a 10% discount off your meal. Your map, when presented at Orzada Farms Drive Thru Nursery, will get you 20% off your plant purchase for the day. Both discounts are good for the day of the event only.
