Philadelphia International Flower Show

Share

You don’t have to board a plane to travel to Hawaii this year – you just need to get to the Philadelphia Convention Center, where the theme of the 2012 Philadelphia International Flower Show is “Hawaii – Islands of Aloha.”

The dramatic landscapes and tranquil spirit of the islands are realized in these garden displays that include towering waterfalls, volcanoes, and, of course, waves of orchids. The flower show is the largest indoor flower show in the world and each year exhibitors are inspired by a theme.

More than 250,000 enthusiasts marvel at the displays and then shop for their own backyards at the Marketplace, where they can buy plants, seeds, cut flowers, crafts, garden furniture, tools, and anything and everything related to gardening. Tickets are $27 for adults, $20 for students and $15 for children. Tickets are available at Mid-Atlantic, ACME Markets, Boscov’s, Giant Food Stores, Independence Visitor Center, SEPTA ticket sales outlets, SugarHouse Casino, local garden centers, nurseries, and florists or online.
