Rare Plant Auction

Share

Join The Delaware Center for Horticulture for a fabulous evening at its 31st annual Rare Plant Auction, its largest annual fundraiser.

Hobbyist gardeners and serious horticulturists perennially enjoy the thrill of the hunt at this gala, where you can bid on rare, newly introduced or difficult-to-propagate plants. This year’s celebrated plant expert is Gordon Collier, creator of the famous Titoki Point garden in New Zealand.

This gala evening at Longwood Gardens raises more than $100,000 each year. All proceeds benefit Delaware Center for Horticulture’s Community Greening Program, which uses horticulture to beautify Delaware and to improve the quality of life for residents in urban neighborhoods.

Local plantsman Russell Jones serves as Honorary Chair. Mr. Jones was the owner of J. Franklin Styers Nurseries in Concordville, Pa., for more than 40 years.

Reservations include admittance to Longwood Gardens for the day, cocktails and dinner. Contact Mary Kay Camaratta at mcamaratta@TheDCH.org or 302.658.6262 ext.100 for more information, or visit TheDCH.org.
