Celebrate America with the Johnson Victrola Museum by listening, or marching if you feel inclined, to the works of great American composers. The music of John Philip Sousa, the composer of “Stars and Stripes Forever,” and James Reese Europe, the man who developed the sound for the foxtrot dance, will be featured.
The performances take place from 9am to 4:30pm on Saturday, July 3. Between 11am and 3pm, children can participate in making musical drums.
Admission to the museum is free. The Johnson Victrola Museum is located at 375 S. New St., Dover, DE 19901. The museum is open to the public on the first Saturday of each month.
