Marvel at artist Timothy Barr’s new naturalistic paintings, which are meant to portray the history of the gorgeous Brandywine River Valley. “You can go for miles in the Brandywine Valley and feel that you’re in the 1700s,” says Barr, explaining the inspiration behind his new works, “If there are no people around, you can feel like a time traveler.”
Barr studied art at Pennsylvania Governors School for the Arts and Tyler School of Fine Art at Temple University.
Let the feel of historic nature surround you when strolling through Somerville Manning Gallery, which specializes in showing 20th- and 21st-century fine art. The gallery is located in historic Breck’s Mill and its hours run Tuesday through Saturday from 10am until 5pm. The event ends October 4.
