Join the Pennsylvania Winery Association as they aim to shatter a Guinness World Record for the largest wine toast in history.
The Great Pennsylvania Wine Toast will encompass 60 wineries across Pennsylvania, as well as the nearly 12,000 attendees of the 18th annual Food & Wine Festival at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Somerset County.
Other locations for the toast include Chaddsford Winery, Manatawny Creek Winery in Douglassville, Blair Vineyards of Mertztown, Pinnacle Ridge of Kutztown, Paradox Vineyard in Landenberg, Black Walnut Winery in Sadsbury and Twin Brook Winery in Gap.
The current record is 17,429 people, and was set in 2009 in the United Kingdom across 400 pubs.
All proceeds for the event will be donated to the Fund to Benefit Children & Youth. Racing legend and Pennsylvania native Mario Andretti will serve as toastmaster, connecting participating wineries through live video.
The Pennsylvania Winery Association is located at 411 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101. Visit www.pennsylvaniawine.com/OverviewToast.aspx for a list of wineries participating in the toast, and contact the one nearest to you for more information.
