The Chester County SPCA sponsors its 24th annual “Forget-Me-Not Gala,” fundraiser, an event expected to draw more than 400 participants.
“It’s one of Chester County’s premier social events of the year, a great way for animal lovers to contribute to the Chester County SPCA and enjoy an amazing party,” says Rich Britton, spokesperson for the Chester County SPCA. “This year’s theme is a ‘Novel Way to Help the Chester County SPCA.’ Our special guest is critically acclaimed novelist Laura Wiess, who will be autographing her new book Ordinary Beauty. The event takes place at Marsh Valley Farm, the home of Doris A. Grassi-Moore and Richard A. Moore. Participants enjoy a beautiful outdoor garden party as well as live music, dancing, animal demonstrations, a gourmet buffet provided by area restaurants, a horse and carriage parade, a silent auction and much more.
The Chester County SPCA, which operates independently without government funding, has been around for more than 80 years. “There is a need for animal funding all year long, and when people are considering adopting animals, please look to our own Chester County SPCA,” Britton said.
