Come out to celebrate the five-year anniversary of Wine and Dinosaurs with fine wine tasting, beer, live jazz, hors d”oeuvres, and a silent auction! Presented by Wilmington Trust, this tradition takes place at the Delaware Museum of Natural History.
General advance admission is $50 for the public and $45 for museum members; purchasing tickets at the door costs $60.
Attendees enjoy exquisite pairings of wine and hors d”oeuvres. Craft beers from a variety of local and international brewers complement the offerings to suit all palates.
The popular silent auction features exclusive items and experiences to bid on, including a magnificent get-away to the British Virgin Islands, lunch with Victoria Wyeth, and a behind-the-scenes tour of the world’s largest mammal collection at the Smithsonian. In addition, jazz musician E. Shawn Qaissaunee, vocalist Sharon Sable, and others perform as guests mingle throughout the museum’s galleries.
First celebrated in 2007, Wine and Dinosaurs was started to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the Delaware Museum of Natural History’s dinosaur display. The fundraiser has evolved into a signature event, raising thousands of dollars to fund operations and programming, while supporting the museum’s mission to excite and inform people about the natural world through exploration and discovery!
