Wine and Spirit Company of Greenville hosts a wine dinner at Walters Steakhouse on Tuesday, October 5. The dinner begins at 6:30pm. Four courses will be served with a specially selected wine from Bouchaine Vineyards to complement each dish. Guests can purchase the wines served at a special price.
The meal begins with shrimp and scallops paired with a chardonnay. A fresh Caprese salad is next, with mozzarella, tomatoes and basil blending delicately with rose. In the third course, tender and flavorful Delmonico steak is served with a rich Syrah. For dessert, the chef has conjured up a delicious autumn-inspired treat. A sweet, late-harvest chardonnay sets off hazelnut meringue with luscious nectarines.
Wilmington residents Gerret and Tatiana Copeland bought Chateau Bouchaine with a group of partners in 1981. The Copelands renamed it Bouchaine Vineyards and hired Michael Richmond as an onsite manager and winemaker. Bouchaine is known for its pinot noirs and chardonnays.
Bill Galbraith, a Bouchaine Vineyards representative, will be present to answer questions. Tickets for this exclusive dinner will disappear quickly; call 302.652.6780 to reserve seats. Walter’s Steakhouse is located at 802 North Union St. in Wilmington, Del.
