Celebrate the timeless tradition of steeplechase at Winterthur’s 36th Annual Point-to-Point, Brandywine’s Valley’s most stylish spring sporting event and a celebrated rite of spring.

In 2013, Top Events USA named Point-to-Point as one of the nation’s best events. Watch four exciting professional thoroughbred horse races amid the opulent atmosphere, while basking in the magnificence of Henry Francis du Pont’s Winterthur estate. This year, the hurdle races have higher stakes than ever, with increased purse prizes of $10,000, $15,000, and $20,000.
Tailgate in style with special parking so you can watch the races while you delve into delightful dishes, or you can enjoy a sophisticated spread of delicious delicacies and drinks at the event’s many hospitality tents. This year, the best Downton Abbey-themed tailgate, will win an engraved silver tailgate tray. The winner will also receive a curator-led tour of Winterthur’s the Costumes of Downton Abbey exhibit; this tour is for up to 10 people.

Point-to-Point has something for everyone, from the country’s largest antique carriage parade to the antique auto display and the Marketplace shopping tent. Kid-friendly activities include pony rides, and pets will enjoy Point-to-Point’s Canine Capers.
Point-to-Point is Winterthur’s largest annual fundraiser and benefits the continued maintenance and preservation of the Winterthur Garden and estate.
