The Delaware Art Museum, built in 1938, celebrates its centennial this year. This venue allows you to choose your own space based on the number of guests. It is ideal for contemporary or classic weddings.

Choose from five different room capacities and three wedding packages designed by a chef. Packaging prices start at $133 per person and customized packages are also available with a minimum of 75 guests. Packages are done by Sodexo, the art museum’s exclusive caterers. For groups under 100, a cocktail hour and dinner and dancing is offered. Delaware Art Museum can also do ceremonies. Their beautiful sculpture garden is a setting to be remembered.

The Delaware Museum of National History is the perfect venue for a contemporary wedding. The entire inside has been renovated and reopened.

“The museum provides a fabulous backdrop that creates naturally wonderful memories,” said Director of Development Dawn Swartout. The museum is available in the evening only.

Maximum capacity is 120 guests. A guided tour is highly recommended. Weddings are very special to DMNH and you’ll be accommodated well. “We love doing weddings. It’s apart of our business that we’re excited about,” said  Swartout.

Four- or five-hour all-inclusive receptions even provide floral centerpieces and the cake. They also offer  state-of-the-art in-house audio-visual services for all your lighting, sound, and technical needs.

The front of the museum is all brick and the newly redesigned back has floor to ceiling glass on each level. Six main art galleries within the museum thrill guests with a magnificent collection of world-renowned art.

The Brandywine River Museum can provide both ceremonies and dinner receptionss year-round. They also have an in-house caterer as well as a florist if you would like them to do your flower arrangement.
