Nearly 500 visitors toured the new James M. Moran, Jr. Critical Care Center, the latest addition to Penn Veterinary Medicine’s renowned New Bolton Center. Regional veterinarians and staff from New Bolton toured the 18,540-square-foot center on June 2, a formal dedication and ribbon-cutting took place on June 4, and the public was welcomed on June 5. The center is a biosecure facility, and once large-animal patients are being treated there, no non-essential personnel will be allowed. The ribbon was cut by Mrs. J. Maxwell Moran (Betty Moran) of Paoli. The facility is named in honor of Moran’s son, who was a close friend to Penn Vet, and in recognition of his passion for the breeding and racing of thoroughbred horses.
